Not always will you see the signs of a roof leak. Technicians at SERVPRO of Lake Havasu City/Bullhead City/Kingman use high quality equipment, to include a calibrated moisture meter to complete a proper assessment of areas affected during the initial inspection as well as day to day monitoring throughout the drying process. This is a situation where the home owner was unsure of the damage caused by the prior rains the week before, but had suspicion of moisture in the area due to the musty smells. Our moisture meter found the affected area and we cut out an inspection hole to find that the back side of the drywall had been affected by mold growth. Technicians had put up barriers to contain the area of the room and continued to remove the rest of the affected area in the ceiling.
