Commercial Building Dry Out Testing

A water loss that occurred in a professional office building was actually caused by a business next door having some sink plumbing fail and leak all night, saturating through the wall in to the next business. We arrived within 1 hour of the call and began testing. Before setting up drying equipment we tested at 100% saturated both on carpets and tiles as well as at 6 inches up walls so we removed baseboards, pulled water out of carpets and set up drying equipment. This was affecting a hallway so right away SERVPRO built a barrier of 3 layers of 6 ml with an exit type function for employees as well.

Testing and monitoring 2 times daily, after 72 hours we had the entire area testing at 14.4.

This building is owned by a distant company who had their own repairs person so by day 4 of monitoring, drying and continued testing, SERVPRO was able to pull equipment for the business and remove all barriers and this building was fully dried out and ready for continued use.
