WHAT IS HARD WATER:

Hard Water is water that has a high mineral content. Hard Water is formed when water moves through deposits of limestone and chalk which are largely made up of calcium and magnesium carbonates and trace metals. 

WHAT ARE THE AFFECTS OF HARD WATER ON YOUR HOUSE AND BUSINESS:

In time hard water can damage water pipes by scale buildup, from long term movement of hard water. Which gradually results in less water moving through the pipe and a lowering of water pressure. When hard water is heated, like in the heat of the day, or your water heater, solid deposits of calcium carbonate can form. This can reduce the life of your plumbing. It can also raise the costs of heating the water, lower the efficiency of electric water heaters, and clog pipes. Water pipes can run all through your house and business. Clogged pipes from hard water can eventually result in water damage, from the pipes bursting.
